Breakfast in the snow

Yesterday, we ate breakfast and lunch outside. Last night, as the sun was going down, there were fluffy pink clouds in the sky, and I thought we could have a huge open-air breakfast this morning when all the visiting teenagers finally got up.

No chance!

Lettice is grilling bacon; Lucius is poaching an egg. We need some ideas for a healthy brunch - please!

We also had a healthy covering of snow this morning. It's crazy considering a few days ago I was walking around town in just a short sleeved top.

Eggs florentine?

Two slices of wholemeal toast on a plate, topped with a slice of ham, then a poached egg. Surround the toast with baked beans in tomato sauce and sprinkle all lightly with grated cheese. Filing, low fat and tasty.

We are suffering in the same way. No coat yesterday. Coat, scarf and gloves today! And those poor daffodils!
