Broad beans

I've just podded a couple of handfuls of broad beans, for the first time in years. And the beans are all different sizes. Which makes me wonder: what do frozen food processors do with the rejects when they package broad beans, because they're always all the same size??? Does anyone know the answer?

  4. Good point. There must be an awful lot of left over beans out there somewhere. I would love to know.
